Minnesota Top Team is proud to partner with Jenni Garlough at Sehej Mind and Body and her awesome Thai Yoga Bodywork sessions. She is located right here at Minnesota Top Team and if you haven't had a session with her, you must put it on your list of things to do in 2013! Below is a word from Jenni to kick off the new year and a pretty amazing offer for the month of January.

2013 NY

First off, Happy New YEAR! As 2013 begins each one of us takes a moment to look forward to the coming year and to make this year even better then the previous, we make goals. Either large or small, whether it is simply intention or measurable objective, for most of our nation it will involve their health.

ko kick to headAlthough, before we get ahead of ourselves and set our intentions a bit more than "just out of reach", take a moment to think about what you were able to accomplish last year. For some it was running in their first "Fun Run" (Warrior Dash, Mud Runner, Rigid Maniac), or advancing in their sport, or winning a match with a head kick KO.

Personally for myself, one of my goals was to be able to get into Scorpion Pose. Why, only to challenge myself to do something that was at the time impossible for me. It was something I would have to work at continuously and when I did not, I would only be setting myself back. And of course for the ability to say "boo-ya!, I did it"!  With the passing of 2012, I can, with a smile on my face, arch my back with pride. So now with this achieved goal, I am setting a goal to experience each of the classes offered at MN Top Team, to explore the role that flexibility has in each and to find a new passion for myself.jenni scorpion

So after you find the aspiration that your body craves, just remember, if you want to kick higher, run faster, grapple better, recover quicker, or breathe deeper flexibility and joint mobility are key. The perfect way to end your workout is to stretch and relax, and I happen to know a great place to do so.

If you would like to come in and see how Thai Bodywork can benefit you, January is a great to check it out. This month, new clients will receive $50 off a 90 Minute Thai Massage (Re price is $127.50, sale price is $77.50). And MTT members always get 15% off rates. Or maybe you just want to know if I can really get into scorpion pose.... See you all soon.
