My name is Mark Spurbeck, and Im a new personal trainer at Minnesota Top Team. You may have seen me around the gym, but Id like to introduce myself here and share a little about myself and my fitness philosophy. Next time you see me at the gym, say hello. Id love to put names with the faces Im seeing.
The first time I met with a personal trainer was after college. Although I didnt look unhealthy, I was. I was depressed and inactive. I wanted to add muscle and hoped that would help me feel better about myself. I didnt know then that I was taking the first steps that would change my life.
My trainer gave me the tools that I needed to not only add muscle but also gain confidence. I got in shape and then bulked up. Over the next couple years, I started applying the lessons I learned in the gym to the rest of my life. I learned that hard work pays off and a little confidence goes a long way.
Now Im an NASM-certified personal trainer, my business is Fit Twin Cities, and my goal is to help people turn their lives around by teaching them how to incorporate exercise and movement into their daily lives. Im passionate about helping others find their confidence and applying the lessons they learn in their workouts to their lives outside the gym.
I dont believe in quick fixes or fad diets. I believe in hard work and dedication. I can guide clients through workout programs to lose weight, add muscle, gain flexibility, or whatever their goals may be. I love exercise, but I love seeing my clients change their lives even more. Thats why I am a trainer: To see my clients take ownership over their lives and get the results they want.
